Lunch and Learn Session on eBook Resources!

I'm SO excited about the lunch and learn sessions that will be held at the Highland Learning Center on Wednesday 1/25! With the increasing number of eReading devices in the hands of students and staff at Highland, I want to make sure people know about the downloadable resources available at Cook Library, our local public library.

Susie Pasini, Cook's resident eBook guru, will be doing three sessions at Highland during the three lunch periods. She'll be showing participants about what downloadables are available at Cook and how to use these resources. The sessions are open to interested Highland students and staff.

Highland Learning Center Starts to Check Out iPods and Audiobooks

The Highland and Adler Learning Centers are introducing a pilot program called Literacy on the Go this year thanks to a grant from the Partners for Educational Excellence.

Students can check out iPod Shuffles loaded with an audiobook in order to listen to a book. We are taking requests about which books to purchase. So far we have three eAudiobook titles available. We can also load any CD that the library owns on to an iPod to be checked out.

Stop by today to check out an audiobook and try this new service!
